Farmers’ Market and Gardening Season

It’s finally farmers’ market season here in Virginia.  On Saturday, T, the dogs, and I headed up to the Williamsburg Farmer’s Market to check out the goods.

We ended up getting two dozen farm fresh eggs and a lavender and sage plant for our patio garden.

After walking through the market (not so much produce yet, unfortunately), we walked the poochies around Colonial Williamsburg because it was such a gorgeous morning.  And they were overdue for a long W’burg walk.

After running a few more errands, we headed back to Yorktown to go to the nursery for the remaining herbs we wanted to plant:

Huge rosemary plant, as well as sage, and I bought some flower that does well in shade...

Also, some basil seeds...first time started from seed so we'll see how this goes..

The  next hour or so was happily spent playing in dirt 🙂
