Cinnamon Swirl Bread

How’s that for a tasty looking loaf of bread.  Can you smell the warm cinnamon too?  Good.

I baked this bread on Saturday morning intending on freezing it for weekend treats, but T had a different idea.  Toast with dinner.  Both of us are suffering from some major seasonal allergies–like everyone else, and it’s difficult to find food that tastes good right now.

Enter: Cinnamon Swirl Bread.

It’s a recipe from The Pioneer Woman, find it here.  I followed the recipe exactly and it is one fine loaf of bread!

So what did I do with it for my dinner on Saturday night?  French toast (it’s a recommendation at the end of the recipe).

I just use milk, eggs, nutmeg, and vanilla.  Soak the bread, and cook in a skillet.  Perfect dinner for someone who just doesn’t feel like cooking 🙂
